Castile Soaps:

If you’re newer to green living, you may be wondering – What in the world is castile soap, and what can I use it for?

Castile originally referred to the highly-prized vegetable based soap produced in Castile, Spain. For centuries this soap was considered "the soap of royalty" because of its luxurious lather and gentleness to the skin. Today, Castile refers to any vegetable based soap.

Castile is a vegetarian and eco-friendly soap that is Never Tested on Animals. It is Hypoallergenic, Biodegradable, and contains NO Animal By-Products and NO Synthetic Detergents.

Castile soap is a true gift to sensitive skins due to its hypoallergenic nature. It comes in variety of heavenly scents such as peppermint, citrus, and rose to make your morning showers a pleasant wake up call.

The liquid form of Castile soap could be used for many other purposes.

  • Shaving
  • Body wash
  • hand wash
  • Bobble bath
  • Baby wipes
  • Homemade multi purpose cleaner
  • Laundry
  • Dishwashing

Due to the thickness of liquid, the soap needs to be diluted with water before use. The amount of water depends on the purpose of use.

All Natural Can Be Beautiful Too

Natural soaps are usually made in much smaller sized batches than commercialized soaps, which can give the soap its own characteristics. Each batch can be unique and come in different shapes, sizes, colors, and aromas. It's up to the imagination of the soap masters to decide what the end product will be like. With the help of different natural materials, essential oils, colors, and molds, the limitation to crafting unique and natural soaps is virtually endless. Not only are specialty crafted soaps a thing beauty, they also help to keep your skin looking beautiful as well!

With so many unique bars of soap already being crafted, we here at Savory Soaps would like to show you a few of our favorites!

Here is a guest bathroom decor idea from Savory Soaps:

When looking for unique ways to store and display decorative bars of soap, fill a clear jar with a wide variety of varieties and hues. Glycerin soap is especially colorful, and it is a great choice when seeking decorative and practical bathroom decor. Consider using two old-fashioned glass  jars of varying heights. The soap inside will beautifully enhance your bathroom hues.

Make your guest feel welcome with an artfully arranged assortment of bath goodies. Glass jars serve a dual purpose: they are beautiful and elegant, but they also provide storage. They introduce femininity and curve into a space with predominantly straight lines. Pair a few sizes of these jars together, and fill them with decorative soaps, natural sponges, or even bath crystals and salts.
Liquid soap and shampoo cannot be seen when stored in solid colored pumps. Buy tall heavy glass containers with cork lids, and fill them with colorful liquid soap. Various colors can be added to create stripes and designs. Simply add thick colored soap of your choice, and use a wooden skewer to create interesting patterns. Run a wooden skewer along the inside edges to creak streaks, peaks and lines. It will look like liquid sand art. Stick a pump through the center of the cork top, and the decorative container can be used in another unique and practical way.

What could Coconut soap do for my skin?

Simply miracle! Coconut oil is an amazing moisturizer that not only prevent dryness but it also prevent rashes from coming back.

But that is not all. Coconut oil contains Vitamin E that clears up clogged pores. this is specially important for people who suffer from Acne as clogged pores are the main cause of acne breakouts. Vitamin E also decreases the need for the skin to over-produce oil which leads to less clogged pores in the first place. Soaps containing this wonderful oil not only supplement the skin with Vitamin E but they also deliver the oil's natural anti-microbial properties that treat acne breakouts.

The skin's elasticity decrease as we age, which causes unpleasant wrinkles and lines. Most anti-aging products sold today in fancy beauty parlors contain antioxidant. Our body fights the free radicals with the help of anti-oxidants. Think of a piece of unprotected metal that will rust if it gets oxidized. Pollution, smoke, medications, stress, and certain food are contributors to this oxidation process, or aging. Unrefined coconut oil slows down this process, can prevent wrinkles from forming, and reduce the appearance of existing ones. It is because of all the wonders of this miraculous oil that we at SavorySoaps believe a natural soap containing coconut oil should be treated like a gift of beauty, and not "just" another soap!

The Importance of Having Healthy Skin

Skin is the largest human organ, but caring for this organ is often overlooked. Having healthy skin helps protect the body from bacteria and viruses.

Allergies affect one in five Americans yearly and atopic dermatitis, more commonly known as eczema, affects seventeen percent of Americans. Eczema is a skin condition where skin becomes dry and inflamed causing itching and redness. Although it is a disease that is simply remedied, many of the affected people are unaware that it is also very simply preventable.

With the widespread use of chemicals and unnatural ingredients in common soaps and substances, skin can react in many different ways. That's where we come in. Savory Soaps is made with all natural ingredients that prevent the development of skin conditions such as eczema. While the ingredients found in common soaps and skin care products can dry out the skin and cause breaks and cracks in the skin, Savory Soaps nourishes and rejuvenates the skin with natural oils.

Our products can help prevent and treat skin conditions in several ways. Eczema is affected by many things. If already diagnosed with it, focusing on reducing the symptoms is key. Our products can play a huge role in doing that. The soothing nature of our products helps calm the skin irritations while relieving the pain and itching. They also moisturize the skin and are very gentle. Lastly, as emotional stress can have a large impact on skin, the relaxing nature of the aromas in our products can help reduce stress, benefiting the body as a whole.

So it's time for you to stop neglecting the largest human organ and start taking care of your skin and yourself, and we are doing our best to make this an easy task for you to do. Be beautiful and feel beautiful.
